Best 404 Page Ever
Posted on by PatrickThis has to be one of my favorite 404 error pages ever. Very closely followed by the SGI crying baby, for which I can not find a link to show.
For those of you not familiar with a “404 Page”, it’s the term given to the page served by the webserver when it can’t find a requested URL. The reason it’s called 404 is because that’s the “Not Found” error code for HTTP.

http://www.archive.org is great for finding things like this. Of course archive.org wouldn’t cache erroneous (404) pages that don’t exist. I found the links to the baby images in a slashdot post, and looking them up explicitly did the trick.
Enter http://www.sgi.com/images/404babies/6.jpg into the blank on archive.org. This yields a page with many cached versions of this little guy. (e.g. http://web.archive.org/web/20001013012836/http://www.sgi.com/images/404babies/6.jpg)
Try just changing the image number 1..10.jpg.
)
Cute. Enjoy!
